In the BMW's the mileage is kept in both the key and the computer. Where does teh RL keep the mileage? If someone wanted to mess with the mileage on the RL would it just be reprogramming the computer? Has anyone seen this done with broken clusters or blown computers?

Actually I have the same question.
On the TL, and most other honda products, (up to 2004) the milage was on the dash circuit board, simply replacing the board gave you 0 milage on the car, and the other board would remain static.
I am waiting to get the helm manuals, updated with the 06 tech features, then I will have a definitive answer.

 

I am not willing to allow this discussion as it is illegal to tamper with the mileage on a vehicle and we have not allowed such discussion to continue in the past.
