Max Bright

The quick start guide says if you have the headlights on and hit the + and - on the instrument panel light buttons at the same time, the IP lights should go into max bright. Mine does not work. Did anybody get it to work? If so how?

Sure that works, but it does not jump to max brightness. That is what I assumed would happen when the quick start guide said to hold both buttons at the same time.

Really a shame though, paying for all this HiTech that does not work.

Ah, thanks. Personally I adjust those and never touch them again. At least in the S I never did. But because the backlighting is blue I may tweak it a little every now and then. To me the color choice for the backlighting is a bit of a poor choice, more aesthetic than functional. Red allows for better dark adaptation of the eyes. Blue is the worst.

I noticed last night that if the + button is pressed until max brightness, and then pressed again, the nav screen goes to daylight mode as do some of the center console indicator lights.
