Smile Mass Air Flow sensor?

hello all,
I am currently installing a Takeda air intake system on my 2005 RL. Very Excited!! It's actually for a 2009 3.5 or 3.7 liter TL but thus far it's fitting well into my RL! All is going well, except, I have 1 question.
Do we have a MAF(Mass Air Flow) sensor in the stock air box? I don't think we do, well at least I can't find it. Is the air flow sensor past the throttle bodies?
Because there are 2 openings in the Takeda air intake tube, one for the intake tube to engine hose and the 2nd opening(a small rectangle) is for the MAF sensor.
I need help locating this. If our cars don't have one in the stock air box, then I'll need to find a small rectangular metal piece to fill the spot.
I'll definitely post pics once I finish the install tommorrow! But I need help with this. A picture of the location would be really great if possible from someone.
Thanks all in advance.
Peace.

Smile

So I figured out that the MAF sensor is not in the stock air box.
So I filled the rectangular hole with some aluminum sheet and superglued it.
The Takeda intake sounds wonderful.
I decided to install this one based on the sound from the youtube clip(2009 Acura TL Takeda air intake). It sounds just like that, but even a little louder. The engine is quiet at regular cruising.
At 3/4 to wide open throttle, you begin to hear the mild intake noise and engine note at about 3,000 rpm.
At 4,000 rpm the note becomes slightly more aggressive( I think this is when the butterfly valves open in our intake chanbers)
At 4,950 rpm the engine note very distinctly becomes sports car aggressive. There's no mistaking when the VTEC KICKS in now!
Wow!!
I'm in Car Modification BLISS.

yea...you're in trouble now.

that sound is addictive and now you will be stepping on it just to see people scatter across the road and out of your lane.

Yeah,
that sound is intoxicating! Soo much nicer than the whisper quiet stock sound.
Hey, even though I've been a member here forever. I don't know how to post a pic. Yes, I know there's a section on it in the forum,
but what's the simplest way of doing this. I wanted to post a pic of the mod.

give us the links and we'll post. You can't post pictures until you got over 50 posts.

um...a link is an internet address.

So, to share a picture you need to:

1. upload it (www.photobucket.com or www.flickr.com)
2. Give us the link! (address to the picture)
3. Someone will make it show up here as a picture
4. Use dictionary.com to see what a link is!

clean engine bay. I went with the black intake so it all looks nice and stock, and of course I got rid of the sticker.

Nice.
well, I was the first to install a Takeda on an RL, it was basically meant for the TL and all.

Right now there are maybe 3-4 cars running Takeda's and probably just 3 of them are SRI, I know one guy is running a CAI.

either way, if you keep your foot off the accelerator you'll actually get better gas mileage
