Magnaflow Exhaust system

Does anyone here have any experiece with Magnaflow exhaust on their other cars? http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=767 Those took pretty good. I could get the universal mufflers and have a muffler shop custom make a system for my RL. I have yet listened to the clips on their website. I hope they are not too loud for my taste.

I listened to some of those clips.

If it's like the Acura RSX clip they had.....avoid, avoid, avoid on your RL!
If it's like the BMW M3 sound clip.....

If it's like the 5zigen exhaust--a rather subtle, deeper change from the stock--not too bad, either. My 5zigen exhaust arrived last night and it's going to be a long couple of weeks before I get it installed. Have to do the dyno first!

The only issue with a custom exhaust is that you don't know what it will sound like until it actually goes on the car.

Yeah that's the problem, I won't know how loud it will sound until the exhaust is made... However, since the custom exhaust is not a cat-back, I assume it's the mufflers that will dictate how much louder it will be. Maybe I will drop by the muffler shop this weekend and have a word with them. They are actually a dealer for Magnaflow.

I've sold a few of there exhaust systems for evo's and wrx's. Personally I don't like the way they sound (usually loud). There sound style is more suited for American cars in my opinion.

thanks for the opinion, Sam. I think I need to hear some of their products in person. And of course, Jason's 5zigen.
