luxury awd sedans
There's a link on MSN today for comparing "luxery" awd sedans. They show 3:
Infinity M35x
MKS 3.7L awd
A6 3.0T quattro Tiptronic
http://autos.msn.com/research/compar...1339>1=22001
Wierd is that they (MSN Autos) has not reviewed any of them. The reviews are all for older model years.
No mention of Acura RL, yet the 3 listed are similar price and power

There was a MSN comparo a few weeks ago that did have the RL in the selected sedans.
I would think those are driven by advertising input. Whoever is paying for ad time on MSN Autos winds up in the mix of the moment.
Acura has shut down RL adverstising, or close to it.

I bet you are right regarding ads - as there is a big Infinity ad on the web page

Um, that page is a user-generated page on which you can have up to three cars on the same page. You can add any car you want. Here's the same page with the RL added:

Yes...and No.
MSN Autos has always had the user defined comparos (you can compare and RL to a Hummer if you wanted to,,,)
But periodically there is a comparo on the MSN Autos home page (and sometimes carried over to MSN.com or MSNBC.com). These tend to be more of the 'AWD Sedans', 'Cute Utes', 'Economy Hatchbacks', 'Family Haulers' genre. They usually have 3 default vehicles in the comparo (it produces the same comparo tool, and you can modify it). These comparos are what I believe the OP was referencing. And not being user selected, I believe the selected vehicles of these 'random' comparos are rooted by the advert of the day on MSN Autos.

Yes - Tampa is correct on what I meant
There was a "teaser" headline on MSN regarding Luxury AWD vehicles. Clicking the link brought me that page with 3 cars "preselected"
And, the root car (the Infinity) did indeed have a prominent ad on the page

Its kind of both. The link from the MSN home page deposits you into the MSN Auto compare site with certain cars pre-selected for comparison obviously influenced by the ads. Then the user can delete/select any additional cars for comparison.

Which is why I spend more of my limited, precious time on AZ than over there. Seriously.
I admit, though, there are a lot of BMW converts over there who were willing to go patriotic for a little while. It's changed my mind about BMW owners....they are more open-minded than I thought.
Now would you pass the Grey Poupon?

bob - my wife's got a 323 convertible that's getting a little long in the tooth. Its kind of a girly car, but has a manual tran, so its fun to drive.
I was hoping to get her interested in a CTS, but I can't even get her to look at it.
She'll probably want to stick with a BMW
