2006 acura rl. both hi beams work. both low beams do not. checkd bulbs. checkd fuses. checkd steering comumn switch. is it ballast if hi beams still work? or ignitor? they sometimes flicker barely at first but it is rare. any suggestions

 

I would check to see if the ballast is getting 12 volts with the switch being on. That's a good starting point. Normally I'd say swap components from side to side but that's not gonna work here...

Question... is the ballast and ignitor for both bright and dims?? one connection? i will test out voltage this weekend. Thanks much.

 

The 9006 brights are a separate harness then the D2S low beam harness. Hope that helps!

 

It's not like some German cars where one connection feeds the whole headlight
