Looking for colour coded part

I'm looking for a front left fender in NH686M. I'm finding a lot that say silver or gray. They did not record the colour code. I believe the VIN in some manufacturers at some point used to carry the colour code. Am I able to find the colour code in our VIN?

It's not in the VIN. It should be on the sticker in your driver's door jam.

I was waiting for remarks however that too a little longer than anticipated haha

I didnt think it was in the VIN. Problem is no one decides to make record and they make 4 'grays' so I guess its hit or miss.

Well, to be honest, even if you found the right color, it might not match. Depending on the care of the paint, the color will fade differently. The catalog does not sell color coded fenders. They come blank and are expected to be painted. Perhaps you should find the color code in the door jam, take a picture, and ask the seller to look at what his car has.

Totally understandable, but still better to get one that is faded in the same colour than one that is far off. That being said I am getting another part painted so if it doesn't match well enough, I am going to get it painted. I'm just figuring since I need the part I'll try to find one the same color .

I actually just got a call on one that is a match. So I'll roll the die. The only crapper is I just realized I have the 3M shield and will have to get another. I'll see how this goes.
