locking system "beeping" for no reason

locking system "beeping" for no reason

While washing my RL, with the key in my pocket, I hear beeps...both
one and two beeps for no explanation...this happened many times.

Any idea what's going on?

Yes - because the water hitting the door handle. It thinks that it is your finger. If you leave your key/remote inside your house (out of range) it will not beep.

Now why didn't I think of that!!!!!

Makes sense but this is first in nearly 50 cars.....

Also, you run the risk of damaging the locks if they keep on locking and unlocking. Keep the key in the car will be OK too if you were to wash the car in an outside establishment.
