How thick is the film for the headlights? Is it thicker than the film that is used for clear bras or for protecting painted surfaces?

The headlight film is 20 mil versus the paint being 8 mil. I know some companies are out there offering 8 mil for the headlight protection, but honestly it just doesnt last very long. Our products are washable/waxable as well. Take care of them and they will take care of you for as long as you own the vehicle.

NP, Actually neither 3M or LLumar make a headlight protection film. Installers use the paint protection for the headlight kits. thickness above, the adhesive backing is made by 3M and pressed onto the film we use.

Just wanted to mention here that if you are thinking about a color, I would use the blue film. It has a nice look to almost every color vehicle that we have seen. Some suttle, some noticeable during the day. At night oncoming traffic wont notice anything different and the light is not effected in a bad way, but made crisper and cleaner light.

Thanks for asking questions
