Which License Plate Frame??

This may be a stupid thread but I'm kind of stumped. I am going to get a license plate frame (I don't currently have one) and wanted something that looked nice. I looked for "Legend" But I could not find it so I am stuck with these choices.

Option 1

Option 2

Option3

Option 4

Option 5

Option 6

Option 7

Any and all help/feedback is appreciated

I love to see plate frames that say what the car is, you should get a matching sticker for the back window.

DE-BADGE THE PLATE FRAME!

I say just get a plain one, or your alma mater. Unless you're debadged, people already see that you are driving an RL. IMHO this sort of license plate frame is only for the debugged.

For the record, I voted "Whiskers".

Frame 1. Simple and clean. The others have too much going on. I would like to get that one too. Where is it available?

I got my mom a 350Z one similar to #1 when she got her car. I do not think it is excessive with the emblem on the hatch.

You said you were debadging, right?

Bob, using an Apple device? My phone tried to change it to debugging too.

Too repetitive to have one saying Acura and/or RL. I went with a simple chrome trim. If anything, I went with option 4 for the reason it has 4 screw holes for you to screw into. Screwing in all 4 screws will allow the trunk to be closed nicely and firm, without the clattering of the metal plate.

I have #1 on both my RL and MDX. Salesman gave them to me when I bought the car (along with a travel coffee mug and a couple of Acura key fobs). Simple, font matches the badges on the cars, and pretty heavy duty. Chrome finish still looks new.

I will be dabadged but it makes me wonder why i would even get one that says "RL" since I'm debadging anyway I guess I figured it'd be classy, but just a simple chrome one or my alma mater would be as well.

here ya go http://www.ebay.com/itm/370602161240...84.m1423.l2649

I am debadging so it wouldn't be repetitive. I have been seeing alot of Lexus' with the "Lexus" tag frame and it's kinda making me want just a plain "ACURA" one

the thought crossed my mind! But knowing the morons around this area, they'd be too busy trying to read the frame they'd hit my car

Great point on all 4 being screwed in! Didnt think about that. I actually only have the top two screwed in at the moment with dynamat behind the plate so it doesnt have any vibrations but the 4 point mount would only fortify it. Thanks!

The Acura dealership is where I first saw these and the key ones. Made me want one. I may either go with just "RL" or just "Acura"

The rear mount only has 2 screws. A 4 bolt frame would only allow for you to connect the plate and frame together, but they would still be loose from the trunk.

I have Dynamat too. Works like a charm.

Guess they 05-08's don't have those 2 bolt holes on the bottom.

i don't like any of those.

i bought a smoked license plate cover at my local auto parts store...and I think it looks way better than a frame. i essentially have no frame... just the smoked cover. my car is carbon gray and the smoked cover kind of flows with the color of the car.. it gives the license plate a bit of a "framed" look... but it's fully covered in a smoked cover...

i'll upload a pic if you want to see it.... but i think it looks better than a cover. not sure if it would look as good on a light colored car like silver or white...but on a black or gray car i think it looks sharp.

Legally speaking, anything that obstructs the word "Texas", much less the plate number, is illegal here.
