Do you have a diagram? I'm gluess to car electric and I'm afraid to mess it up. Do you have to to them on both sides or just the driver.

Just one side, driver's or passenger will work. A diagram would only add confusion to an already simple process. Find the back of the bulb. There are two wires going to it. Attach a resistor between the two wires. Just jeep in mind the power equation.

Also, keep in mind the alternator may put out 14+ volts, so use P = 225/R for the power rating.

I thought to tap the wire from the car and not that actual bulb

I meant the wires coming from the harness of the car that is normally plugged into the highbeam bulb.

I like that look. What did you have to do to get the original DRLs to stay off, and the fogs turn on without the low beams? I looked through the various links posted in this thread but didn't see anything, and search is broken right now for some reason.

Nevermind, I dug a little deeper and found your thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-2005-2012-76/drl-fog-switch-838082/

Looking for some clarification, only 1 resistor is needed for the drl's? Not both sides?

Correct. As long as one side sees a load (resistor, bulb, anything that draws current) the DRL code will not appear.

Thanks, I had some leds from the previous car so I threw them in but now I have the code. I found some plug-n-plays that come in pairs and wasn't sure if I needed to order 2 sets or just the one. I recently got an rdx as well and wanted to do the same

I found some "error eliminators" from an old hid kit at home and tried doing just one side, then both sides and still an error. What am I missing here?

The error eliminators don't work?

How about a resistor?

Hey guys! I have read that some people mention LED lights for RLs. Were there cars with Halogen lights and LEDs? What do I have on my 2010 RL with Tech package (has Nav but doesn't have collision mitigation stuff)?
