You mean you can get a Miata going fast enough to need a laser jammer?
(Just kidding.

No, its not an RL., but then the RL is not a MX-5. The RL is boring in comparison.

I can say, the installer had told me serveral people who have had it installed says they have gone through laser, over speed and have not been stopped. I am not going to go out and test it either. It dectects radar as well and does that very well. Plus the unit is remotely installed and you cannot tell it is in the car. Important in a convertible.

Wrong. Escort makes a lidar jammer that integrates with the 8500

thats exactly what I was doing last weekend too. After seeing how Chicago PD are shifting to laser guns from radar- and populating the force with more of them, I figured its time for countermeasures.
I came to the same conclusion-the Blinder.
But hey, its worth asking the forum what they think too!

Yes it does work, in 3 years Ive only busted 3 Laser cops all in NJ, but did work. In my research 3 years ago it was the ONLY one that actually worked consistantly and to the highest degree. I have Allways been an Escort user, no doubt in my mind they are the best and I have tested and still own just about every highend detector. Valentine etc.
The concept is you "jam" the Copper until you can adjust your speed than defeat the jammer with a remote button, so he can actually clock you at the limit or wherever u want. I believe within 500 feet they dont work at all, its call the "punch thru zone" or something.
Good luck
