After many years of ownership, I have finally ran into a problem....

My keyless fob stopped functioning when physically pressing the unlock or lock button on the remote AND when using the "touch" feature on the door handle. I'm able to start the car without a problem though.

The remote does have brand new batteries and it lights up when pressing on the physical buttons. What I noticed when touching the door handle is that my key fob flashes rapidly. What I'm wondering is the key fob stuck in some kind of valet mode that prevents the use of it. If so, how do I get out of this stupid feature?

First step is to re-sync the fob with the instructions on the back. Second route would be a door handle failure. Check the fuse in slot 7 of the driver's kick panel.
