This is probably a dumb question but here goes: if I remove the battery from one of my key fobs for an extended period of time, will I have to relink it after I replace the batteries?

I'm planning a long trip and wanted to take both fobs with me (just in case), but don't want to fuss with the two remote race.

I pulled my battery for a short period of time and it was fine.
