kb2 front end on kb1?

anyone tried it to see if it fits?
why buy a kb2 when you can just upgrade the KB1 frame and confuse the dealership techs when they work on your car

I'm mostly interested in the front because of the bottom lip design so the car doesn't look like a flying saucer
I know someone already fitted the rear end on kb1 not sure if it needed some mods
but it looked legit

i love love love your drive for mods!
but these are things you can figure out by comparing models/dimensions etc.
ie; that's how I would do it if I Reallly really really wanted something. study the diagrams and part # and then measure three times and maybe cut twice.

post up pics when you get this done, sir!!

i do but apec is too much ball3r for me
if i find a wrecked kb2 i thinkmit would be cheaper to buy front and rear especially if its already color matched
i just saw a picture of kb1 with kb2 rear end . all seem to fit perfect so im searching for kb2 front end
and yea why not, just because nobody done it yet doesnt mean it cant be done...

mostly because these cars were way too expensive
now these become much more affordable and parts available used so this could bring back the popularity with car scene when people can afford to try something that doesnt cost 10000 a piece
the cheapness of this car can actually benefit to the RL community
depending how many people get involved.

integra is over 20 years old and theres still new parts made for the body and motor...

The Integra has always been a cool tuner car, even with different variants. GS-R, type-r's...etc.
unfortunately, that's not the case for the RL

You can keep trying to justify the RL but your examples always come up a little short

I know a guy who did an ES300 front end conversion on the gen 3.5 Camry. It's possible. He did have to do some bodywork to line up the bodyside moldings since the fender ones aren't at the same level, but he made it work... All his pics went down with photobucket, but I know it's possible. I don't like the KB2 front end, but I suppose if that's what you want to do

I prefer the KB1 front end and the KB2 rear end. This just seems like a lot of work for very little gain, if any.

The Mugen kit would be unbelievable but I think he wants $2200. Gotta pay to play.

okay, so i'm not alone in thinking the KB2 is the ugliest thing Acura has put out...
well, next to the 4G the Kb2 is slightly...err.... nvm

not yet haha
lol get on it fam!
Again, I love your drive for thinking outside the box!!
(no one even wants the 3G TL any more...sure, we do...cuz we're enthusiast...but if I had to buy a car today...it wouldnt be an acura...past or present.) THere are just SOO MANY BETTER CARS on the market today.
why would I or someone pick the RL?

Justn, if my RL bit the dust, I'd consider an excellent-condition RL at the right price, or even a 3rd-gen TL if I stumbled onto one (although the first thing I'd do is get the beak painted body color). They're well-built, comfortable and nice-driving cars. Other than the beak and the RL's anemic MPG, if you were shopping for near-luxury in that price class, what's not to like?

Problem here in down south is they don't want anything FWD or AWD unless you use your AWD for off road purpose. People living down here does not know the existence of 2nd gen RL simply because they either buy GS350 or BMW 5 series, we all know Honda RWD isn't exactly cheap. Also road down here consist of mostly highway with 6 lane across or at some spot that has 18 lanes, there isn't any twisty road down here except for highway interchange over pass. That diminished the RL SH-AWD advantage and as you mention the MPG isn't exactly impressive in our RL.

Well guy who try to making a flip on my RL has to break even because the car sit for about 3 months with no one called, after I learned the entire history of the car I bought it and he admit that I was the only person has ever contact him about the car.

There are TONS of more exciting cars out there

I am not saying the 3g TL and 2g RL isn't a good car, matter fact they are the best value for your dollar to buy. I would blame Acura for being stubborn about not going RWD and here I think how Acura could be back on track.

RLX should be RWD or SH-AWD with a 3.5 detune motor from the current NSX, wheel base should be similar to Lexus LS series.
TLX should be RWD or SH-AWD with a choice of 3.0 Turbo motor rate around 350 hp with the same current wheel base, Type S model should be included with 3.5 turbo rated at 400 hp.
ILX should have option of i4 turbo or 3.5 N/A FWD

But then again that is something Honda/Acura will completely ignore and keep continuing produce ugly ass car.

As for the front end conversion swaps, its so doable, hint the user name. As mentioned earlier from another user here study measurements and part numbers and took a gamble and paid off. On the works on getting it on the road.

You guys need to see the Japanese KB2 grill, that thing looks good.
If I switched to one, I'd get the Japanese grill and put the Acura badge on there

the KB2 front end is not that appealing but the rear is a better look than the KB1 rear
