just drove 09 rl

I was able to feel the rear push and the cooling seats! dealer told me next Rll coming in 2010. He only had 2 and a buyer backed out of deal already. he was not so excited. i will just wait for 2010-11 see what ACURA will do next.

If you watch the animation on the web site of the SH-AWD indicator, it shows the strong rear bias when you start an acceleration from a standstill and then moves to a more forward bias. Acura had said at the NY auto show that this 09 model was a two year stop-gap until the 2011 model year. Assuming they continue with the new corporate look featuring the power plenum, you probably won't like it. I wish there was a slightly cheaper Lexus LS460 with a Acura voice recognition and nav system. The rumors are they will do a AWD LS model in the future.

I think for those of us who are current owners, the 2009-10 will be a nonevent. For those looking to get into an RL, though, it's still the best bang for the buck. If only the front styling were less polarizing...

I agree with bob.

Having just received the brochure for the new 09, it still remains a compelling package of technology and value, and addresses many of the suggested improvements we have written about here over the years.

I have not yet gotten to the dealer, but all the anecdotal evidence reports to a series of nice improvements. So does anyone know if the turning circle has really been improved to 36 feet from 40? I see conflicting data out there. The brochure clearly says 36 feet which would mean it would be as maneuverable as my G2 Legend in the parking lot.

Where did you test drive a new 2009 RL? My local dealer sold the couple of pre-ordered cars and has none to show. Won't for many weeks too. I may have to reconsider the boring looks of the LS460.

Acura of Seattle doesn't even have them on the show floor and its almost August . I asked a salesman why and he said they want to sell the 08's first. Bad move if you ask me, I mean they are hiding the ones they already have, they are in the back. I wonder if the O'Brian Sales Company knows about this strategy they are trying to pull.
