Just bought my first RL NOOB!

Well I bought a 2006 RL with the technology package, and that god for saken Pax tire system. It has 115k on the odometer. First thing to happen is I am getting rid of those wheels and tires since the tires are shot! Any things I should know straight away about these rides?

replace with 18" wheels, good choices are stock RL wheels (non pax), A-Spec, RonJon.

Everything else will be less than a stock fit, but if you know much about wheels you'll be fine.

+18" Wheels - give alot more tire size. To keep it simple and looks nice - go with Aspec wheels, can't go wrong with those.

And general maintenance so keep the RL running a long time. Congrats on the RL.

Make sure your timing belt and water pump have been replaced.

+1 on timing belt/105k service. It is not something to skimp on.

We will need pictures to know if she is a reliable source. Otherwise you will have to call the dealer.

...the car dealer.

Smile Welcome to the family

Congratulations bigo181979 on your purchase. Please post some pictures of the new ride. Also it would be nice to know your location (on your profile). There are not that many of us RL owners out there. I have found this site to be very helpful. I purchased an 06 RL in April 2013 with 105K miles. I change the timing belt/water pump myself. It was quite a job. Definitely get a printout of service done on the car from the dealer. Very helpful. I have changed all fluids (except AT which was done at the dealer at 100K). Better safe than sorry, I say. One caution. Regarding the differential fluid. You cannot use AT fluid anymore. It takes special SH-AWD fluid. It IS different. More later. I am #702 on the new owner sign in page. I posted pictures of mine 7/21/13 on the photograph gallery page.

This thread is worthless without pictures.
