Interior color
Interior color
I am looking for owner experiences with interior colors. I purchased last fall a 05 Hondy Odyssey with ivory interior and it has been a nightmare to keep clean. Not just from the kids usual wear and tear but from the shoe marks on the door panels made from getting out, marks on the door sills from shoes, and the seats getting a slight blue tint from my wifes jeans.
I am thinking that I am going to have the same experience with taupe or parchment. I am leaning towards purchasing the redondo red or the lakeshore silver but I feel the parchment and taupe are even going to be lighter than the Honda ivory. My other option then would be the Ebony. I once owned a black on black LS400 and it was extremely hot in the summer.
Any feedback?

I've had the ebony in the FX35, TL and RL now and I love it. It is fairly easy to keep clean - but indeed does get VERY hot during the summer. I had a grey in the TSX and it wasn't bad - but got dirty - not as easily as the lighter colors.
I too have an '05 Odyssey with Ivory interior........scuff marks on door panels and sills can be easily removed with Armorall's CLEANING wipes, and the blue on the seats can be cleaned up with Lexol's leather CLEANING wipes. Takes a no more than a couple minutes a week and it stays looking like new!
My '05 RL has the taupe interior and I love it. I use the same products listed above to keep it clean. 5 minutes a week and the car stays looking like new. I also have the all weather mats in the RL. Armorall makes the CLEANER in a spray bottle also............I spray it on the mats and wipe it off with an old towel, and they look clean and like new again.
I had a black car once......I never understood why people say they look clean......mine always looked dirty as the dust, fingerprints, and lint showed more in that car than in any other color I had ever had. Oh well, guess it is a matter of preference.
I keep capitalizing CLEANER, because I don't want anyone to mistake it for the protectant they make.......I hate that shiny stuff, but the cleaner works great....takes off tough scuff marks easily.
Whatever interior color you choose, the RL will look great.
