An interesting Check Keyless Entry situation

I'll start with this: it's raining today. That should sum it up shouldn't it? But Fuse 7 looks fine.

So, I park the car in garage, all is well, and 10 mins later hear the alarm go off. Car honking. I get there, it had stopped, but doors are unlocked, fob doesn't work. Alarm red light was on, but then eventually left us. Check key-less entry is there, and the green key is there.

Tried to start it, it's like empty on gas. Then, I open the door, and try, it took longer, but it started. While driving, the left right signals don't work, the wipers only on the regular two modes, the seat belt warning doesn't sound, the temp outside is --- no working, and the DRLs are on all the time when car is off parked.

I disconnected the battery, then back on. No change.

Cannot lock doors even from inside. Tried to lock using the key, but you insert the key, and it doesn't turn left or right. Cannot open trunk from anywhere. Cannot open to fill gas, and of course can't do it manually coz i cant open the trunk.

I ran a self-diagnostic, all green. No errors.

Ideas?

There is a manual trunk release on the passenger side of the pass-thru opening behind the rear seat armrest. Sit behind the driver's seat, snake your right arm thru the pass-thru and there should be a a small oblong handle that you pull towards you to pop the trunk open. As far as all of your other issues, try a new battery. These cars exhibit some weird symptoms when a battery is even slightly low, Good luck---

Ohhh! Nice tip, thank you! Makes sense they'd place one. i never knew that. Battery went very low 3 months back, still under warantee, so went and got another. It's new.

Now guess what, I wake up, go drive it to garage. All back to normal. Like nothing happened. Car was locked, fob unlocked it, no lights in dash.

Water infiltration is a serious issue in this car. I keep remembering your 3M film, but in this case, I don't know where to apply it.

Of course, while I was taking out the battery cables yesterday, I dropped the 10mm key into the vent opening for air intake just front of the battery Gonna go next week have mechanic pull it out.
