Exclamation Interest in RS*R Lowering Springs Groupbuy ?

Hey guys I recall a few of you were interested in the RS*R springs for the RL. I spoke to my rep today and we were able to work out a special groupbuy price on them. We'd need 4 participants to make this happen. The springs will be imported from Japan to us. Then we will ship them to you.

You have two models to choose from - the down spring model and the ti2000 model. The difference between the two is the material used. The ti2000 is a titanium composite, which helps reduce unsprung weight. The drop however is the same on both models as are the spring rates (which btw are very similar to stock). So ride comfort is still maintained with these springs.

The drop is very even and is about 40 mm (1.6"). This is a RL/Legend with them on 19" advan wheels -

---

Pricing - $429 shipped for the down model . $549 shipped for the ti2000 model.

I'll start a official thread for the participants in the groupbuy forum once we have 4 people. So let me know who is interested!. Thanks.

Just curious but how do these springs differ from the A-SPEC springs?

I believe those lower the car a little more than the A-Spec. Plus, the A-spec kit is a full coilover system.

John here ya go -

deepdezal, yes they are designed to be used with the oem shocks. I'm not sure they will work with pax cars as the rear shocks are a different part # from non pax cars.

CL6, these springs lower the car more than the a-spec springs. The ti2000 is also lighter than the a-spec model so the suspension response is better.

Strongly thinking about the titanium... My mind is telling me yes.. My aspec front spoiler is saying no.. umm.......... I think i'll take them. I hope i can use my aspec shocks without them being too harsh. The dealer never gave me my stock shocks upon delivery.

Do you need to run a camber kit in order to get the alignment back to spec?

Great, that means we just need one more person to make this happen!

synth19, nope. I asked the jdm legend owners who are all lowered and none of them needed a camber kit. Thanks.

How do you think the performance will compare to the A-Spec system?

mr_allep, should be very similar between the two as I'd imagine the aspec spring rates are similar. The difference mainly the a-spec only lowers the car about 3/4". Thanks.

I wish I was in. The construction of my dental office is almost complete and I will be spending big bucks on my equipments and instruments...

I don't want something like this to happen:

My assistant: "hey doc, where is that instrument that we need for extraction?"
Me: "Oops, I had to lower my RL so I got no money for that."
My assistant: "oh man.. that's messed up.."

Wow, this option is cheaper than A-Spec. I'd consider it if I didn't have the A-Spec system already.

I'm on the fence still, even though I really, really like the RS*R stuff, especially the Ti set.

Don,
Touge did say all he needed was 4 people not 5.

Touge,
how long will it take to get the springs shipped to the US/home? By the way, thanks for all your work once again,

Later,

Hey guys, we only need 4 people for this to happen . Once we order them with Japan it should take about 2 weeks for us to receive them, then another 1-5 days for guys to get them depending on how far you are from NY. Thanks!.

Touge,

On the first post, we should have list of confirmed buyers and paid buyers. That would make things easier for all of us and would know how many sure buyers we have to get this going.

Funny, when Touge first did the 5Zigen exhaust buy, there was the same hesitation, but once people saw it on they all started snatching them up. Someone on here must be willing to take a leap of faith.... C'mon!
