Instrument cluster (speedometer) replacement.

hi all,

i have a 2006 RL
the instrument cluster is no good because of some water
damage, so i bought a used one from a local salvage yard.
my car has 80k miles and the used one was said to have
110k miles on it. can someone tell me if there will be any problems when i swap them and which miles will it read once i do? the mileage on the car or the one on the used cluster?

thanks

I know this post isn't helpful to your question, but does the answer affect your action?

I just have a feeling you won't know until you try.

better than swapping it yourself, go to acura and have them install it. They can use the HDS system to rewrite the mileage on the odometer. I'm not sure if they can bring it down in mileage but it's always worth asking the dealer.
