Is there a post or site that gives instructions on how to remove and replace the steering wheel on 05/06 RL? I purchased the wood/leather wheel and don't want to have the dealer do the R&R.

Looks doable but man that's a lot of parts. The steering wheel in the 05 is one of the things that don't really impress me about the RL. It's made for tiny Japanese ladies as far as I can tell. It's not that my hands are *that* big but I prefer a meaty steering wheel. Much more secure in the hands. even my wife's A6 has a better wheel and it's the plain vanilla 2.8 Avant.

I think the wood wheel has a wider grip on the sides but I doubt I'll like the smooth wood. Sort of defies the purpose of a steering wheel IMO which is to -hold on to it-. Maybe I should try one at the dealer.
