Increase shift response
Just curious if anyone has figured out a way to increase the shift time using the paddle shifters. ive attended a few Auto X events ive been using the paddle shifters but the delay is hurting my times.
I know this isnt a performance car but i figured i would have some fun with her.

Are you letting off the gas? I've noticed this car can shift with near full throttle very smoothly.

Are you still autocrossing?
If you are still auto-crossing driving the RL then there are couple things you might try, neither has to do with modding the paddle shifters or shift points.
First, find someone who is a fast driver in their class that drives an automatic. Ask if you can ride along for a run (or maybe buck runs after the meet) and watch how and when they brake (usually very important to keep up speed in an automatic) and where they shift. I'm guessing that they brake a great deal later than you do and down shift much sooner (and at higher speeds) than you. If upshifting is a timing / reaction problem, keep your buried and see if you can shift just before you reach redline and therefore keep up momentum going into the next gear.
Next ask them to ride with you and then after a few runs critique your driving.
Learning how to brake for better performance is time consuming, but it will shave seconds off your time.
