HVAC lights
I have a couple of lights on my wife 07 RL hVAC buttons that r out. Watching a youtube video says the radio bracket is held in by phillips srews deep in the console but diagrams I have seen online indicate a 5/16 hex. I can not find the bracket screw and need a more specific place to look.I have the console completely apart except for those two screws. Thanks.

You have the "not an ashtray" pocket out? There are two 8mm that you have to snake out from behind the bottom of the audio unit. I would suggest a long extension and a magnet to keep from dropping them when they come out because you can't get your hands to them.

^Thats the audio/nav controls. The climate control module comes out separately.
OP, this problem has been solved here many times. How about a search?

Apparently you do need to remove the radio although I could have sworn you didn't have to. Here are directions for the head unit. https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-90/need-detailed-steps-how-remove-radio-please-842906/

Got it
Thanks for the replies. I had actually done an extensive search but nobody actually described the radio bracket bolts correctly. Mine were a 8mm hex head with a smoothed rounded end. Just like a pictorial displayed in very small print. Not exactly what I was looking for initially. A you tube video said they were a phillips head and as a result, I wasted about an hour looking for a phillips head. The magnetic wand is a necessary tool by the way. Everthing else went well and all the lights now work. Thanks again.
