How Many Miles Do You Drive per Year?

Curious to know many miles you having driven/plan to drive your RL per year.

I'm fortunate to have another car to drive during nice weather, so I've put less than 10K per year. However I've put nearly 3500 miles owning the car just less than two months!

Suggested mileage ranges are:
1. Less than 10K per year
2. Between 10K and 15K per year
3. Between 15K and 20K per year
4. Over 20K per year

I surprised myself with my former TL. After 10 months of owning the car, I accumulated 16K miles. I work only 13 miles away and did NOT take the TL on any long trips either. So it goes to show you how much I enjoyed driving it.

The RL? Hmm, this is going to be interesting. I enjoy driving this car much more than TL. So I would say, I am going to fall in the between 15K and 20K per year category.

18-20k yearly. I drive 40 miles daily for work, including on many weekends, and take the car on 2-3 long road trips every year.

1600 miles since since Oct 1. 1/2 the miles just aimlessly driving around listening to audio and playing with features, just like a kid in a toy store.

Between 15K-18K a year. Both my kids are travel hockey goalies. The Landcruiser gets the bulk of the mileage (at least 18K a year), but there are times where we need to go in different directions so both cars are shuttling about.

7.5-10K a year. Landed a job only 4.5 miles from home..... 2 weeks after buying the RL. Only plan to drive it to and from work, the weekends... sits in the garage. Hopefully I will be able to keep the mileage down.

I drive approximately 10 miles a day for work but drive about 12,000 miles per year. Everyday is pleasure driving in the RL. I make up the extra miles going to Vegas, San Diego, and San Fransico a couple times a year.

I usually drive about 7 miles each way for work and we use my sister's Toyota Highlander on the weekends since she only has a 3 mile commute to work. BUT... I just can't help it when a road trip or work trip comes along... the car is absolutely awesome as a grand tourer... XM radio blasting, smooth ride, nav system... so I'm a bit over my usual 7500 miles/yr average. I've had the car for about 8 months now and have about 6500 miles on the car. Might end up with about 9-10K by March.

28,000 miles per year and more

I drive about 50 miles each way to work 5 days a week....and been doing it for about 14 years....UGH...some days a real drag...until the RL. OK...some days it is still really bad...especially when there is an accident on the Cross Bronx Expressway...BUT...whereas Archie had his easyseat in the Bunker living room...I am never bored behind the wheel of the RL. Whether I am peacefully sitting in bumper to bumper or trying to weave in and out....the RL offers so much in the way of comfort and entertainment to pass the hours or power/control to make up a little time. I know that this car has kept my blood pressure down a few points and probably added a few more years of commuting to my life.

I took delivery of my '05RL on June 4 (or the 6th?), 2005 and have just gone over 54,000 miles. I'm currently commuting round trip around 170 miles a day and putting another 650 miles on each weekend. My '94 Honda Accord EX has gone over 460,000 miles after several years of the same treatment.

Keep movin', movin', movin', tho' they're disapprovin'
keep them dogies movin' Rawhide!

My daily commute is 75 miles round trip. Travel to twice a month to a regional office in PA (170 miles round trip). I just clocked 1 year at 25,500 a year. I really enjoy the ride. Just wish I had a voice activated dictation service for my blackberry Now thats an option.

Hmm...I'm leasing my '05 RL for 3 years with 15k miles/year thinking I'd drive a lot. Surprisingly, this past year I've only used a little over 10k miles. Like the original post mentioned, I have another vehicle and a motorcycle so that probably explains why. Anyhow, I'm way under mileage, but it's the start of ski season, so expect the RL to come out and play a lot more.

Yeah, I know I should probably use an SUV or truck instead of a luxury sedan, but hey, it's the only time to really put the SH-AWD throught its paces

I average around 30,000 miles a year, so I split it between two cars. Since anything over 15,000 a year kills you on a lease (or trade, for that matter), I'll do 15,000 a year on the RL.

I work at home, so normally I don't drive all that much. I lived in WA for four years and averaged 5000 miles/year. Now I'm about 100 miles from the office in Phoenix and have made a lot of trips to Phoenix and Tucson. I've put 14,000 miles on the RL in 14 months plus another 2000 miles on an '03 Miata I bought in August.
