How to make steering wheel illumination brighter????

The 2006 RL is new to me......I have been reading the manual and learning as I go but so far havent found how to make the steering wheel illumination brighter. Can someone please tell me the secret button that does this for me....? While driving at night I cannot read any of the steering wheel buttons...they are simply too dark.

Thank you

Did you try turning up the panal dim?

I find the steering wheel lights to be on the dim side too, but if they were bright, it could be distracting to some drivers.

You might want to look into soldering in some LEDs!

Yes thanks....I tried the panel dim to bright but still as I am learning all of the gadgets it would be nice to be able to see them. I dont need it enough to crack open the steering wheel though.

The steering wheel button lights are purposely much dimmer than the rest of the interior illumination. You can increase the brightness by pushing the + button all the way up, but that will also make the rest of the interior much too bright. It is what it is.
