How is the Heater/AC?

To me the quality of the heater/AC does a lot to make a car enjoyable or annoying. How would you rate the one in the RL? Points I'd consider:

- pollen filter (should look this up, I know)
- heat available before engine warmup
- variable drag AC (my S4 has this. I'm pretty sure it's common on all high end cars now)
- can turn AC off and go to heat/ventilation mode which is still automatic
- can work in C and F
- can deal with differences in engine temp (S4 seems to blow colder air after about 15 minutes)
- ease of use

I guess the less you have to fiddle with the system the better.

Thanks!

I don't notice it. I guess that makes it really good.

I always use AUTO mode. Pretty much set it and forget it. (That's some cheesy product's slogan)

I usually set the temp to 71 degrees (on my side). It gets warm fast in the 55 degree cool mornings and it cools off quickly in the 85 degree hot afternoons.

I think it is a very good system. gets warm/cool pretty quick and has a lot of air flow

Same here - I just keep it set to my desired temp (typically 70) and let AUTO figure out how to make it all happen. Only manual thing I ever do is when I need the front defrost and once that need's been met I hit the AUTO button again. In Chicago the summers are hot & humid and the winters are cold and the AUTO does a good job of keeping me comfortable.
