In some of the postings, there are words underlined, When you roll over the word and you get an advertisement. On some of the ads the close box does not even work. How do you disable these pop-ups?. They are annoying, especially the ones you can't stop.

 

Get Firefox. Download Adblock Plus. Subscribe to one or more of the subscription lists for ad-blocking. You will no longer see ads here or anywhere else.

That's pretty much all you can do. Also, on the windows that pop up, there's a link you can go to in order to disable the links.

That said, the site owners (not the mods or admins) have decided that these pop-up ads will stay and they feel they add revenue to the site, allowing us to use it for free.
