Cutting the white wire will not get rid of the error message. It will kill the DRLs, but the computer is smarter

What you need to do is find out where the relay for the DRLs are. Obviously that white wire (2v) is feeding a relay which turns the DRLs on. Ground out that relay and you are set.

I haven't had time to research this but if someone can find the relay that the white wire feeds I think we'd be in good shape.

or you take out the DRL bulbs and tie them in a place you can't see.

 

am then you lose your highbeam..what we are trying to accomplish here is to turn off the drl while still utilizing the highbeam function.

 

in that case you do what I did.

Install HID.

They DO NOT work as DRL, you will get a nice error.

High beams kick @$$

Anyone tried putting a switch in the circuit instead of a total disable? Seems pretty easy......
