The CHMSL or the tail light?
The CHMSL just "pops off". Use clean hands or latex gloves and slide you fingers underneath the edges.

I wouldn't think the tail lights would be designed so that the LED's can be replaced. They're using Philips Lumileds SnapLED's which are typically welded or crimped onto an aluminum heatsink. The heatsink also serves as the electrical connection to the power source. You would have to get the entire LED array out of the tail light in one piece to work on it.
If you decide to replace the tail light, I might be interested in purchasing the old one.

The service manual will tell you to replace the entire assembly to the tune of a couple hundred dollars. You may be able to do as the previous member suggested, but I expect you will have to "bake" the entire assembly to loosen the glue enough to open them up.
