Been working on aligning the hood on my 05 RL and somehow the cable release on the hood latch wasn't reinstalled properly (my bad), now the hood will NOT unlatch at all. I was able to disconnect the entire assembly and open the hood (including disconnecting the sensor), but I still cannot open the latch. Does the electrical component (sensor?) have anything to do with this issue? I even took the spring off the main latch (not the initial latch, but the primary one) and I cannot move it to release it from the hood. STUMPED.
