HID bulb change
Ive been looking around for this info i downloaded the service manuals for the RL and i must be blind because i cannot see it anywhere in the service manual.
Do you have to do the wheel well trick or do you have to remove the headlamp assembly?

im actually going to do some 55W Ballast that i have laying around and going to upgrade the bulbs to some Phillips DL50 bulbs and possibly playing around with the spacing to get a sharper cutoff possibly increase the color/flicker of the light

as far as 50w conversion, I've tried it with not so good results.
If you want to get it done right, get good ballasts and good bulbs, use a separate harness for each ballast as one harness is not strong enough for two.
good luck!

im no stranger when it comes to HID conversions. I will be using Modified Hella Gen3 ballast with a switch to adjust the output from 35-45-55W. Not these cheap aftermarkets ballast like DDM (Not knocking them just not my taste i know several people using them with success)
The Phillips DL50 bulbs are meant to handle the 50W load from the ballast and they are not cheap bulbs at all. not to mention the quality of a phillips HID product is always top notch
