I'm sorry if this issue thread has been brought up I've search and couldn't bring me to what I was looking for..first off I drive an 05 rl (yes aware of common issues) second.. the issue that I'm having is that my trunk says that it is open but it isn't and wen it lock it, couple minutes later it will trip the alarm..any solutions? And third I need to get this fixed soon or I will have cops called again ..much appreciated fellow owners

 

I'm sitting In the car I turn key and says the trunk is open wen it is not

 

 

Trunk Is fully shut, inside the mid says trunk open, while driving it will flash on and off on mid saying trunk open could possibly be a possessed car

 

So long as it's not re-possessed.

It sounds like the latch needs adjustment or cleaning. There's probably a sensor in the mechanism & it's opening & closing slightly on bumps.
