help with a purchase 2005 RL

Hi, im pretty new to cars and im planning to buy my frist car, this 2005 Acura RL 3.5 with 112k miles with the price of $12,991.
i checked the carfax and there seem to be no accidents and it was regularly maintenance.

i was just wondering if this is a good purchase and how long will its engine last me to (like 250k miles?) if i keep it in good maintenance.

thanks!

easily 250K as long as you take care of it. do a search for high mileage. pretty sure there are a couple guys in the 300K territory.

Mine just hit 120K and still drives like a dream i do not regret anything about the car at all.

it's gonna last way longer than 250k miles. There are some accords on the road from 1994, 1995 with almost 300k miles on them. This is a 2005 RL so yea its gonna last until 250k miles

Like mentioned, there won't be problems with the milage. However, with a 2005, there may be problems with other things. Do an advanced search for this forum specifically, and search "05 problems". Everything to look for is well documented here. '05 seems to be the weakest year. It is still a great, reliable car but tends to have more issues than other MYs (model years). Good luck.

I agree with you 100%. Mine has 155,000 miles and a 2007. Looks and drives like it is brand new. Sometimes when I get itchy for something new , my senses kick in and say WHY!!! With 112,000 miles, I would make sure the timing belt , water pump and spark plugs have been replaced. If so, this will be a wonderful and wise purchase. You will be set until 210,000 miles. What color is it?

105k on my 05 RL and besides a few dash lights being out and the occasional AFS warning light I have no issues.

IMO the best color combination although white with ivory is sharp.
