Got 05 last week, baptized today...

Hey guys. I didn't find time to share some photos with my recent purchase of 05 RL. Damn it, today I already baptized it. I was approaching the intersection the usual way. The conditions were unusual in Chicago, we didn't get the snow, we got the ice. I read ended a 20-year old F150 which inherited a barely visible dent. I have an appraisal scheduled for Wed. And I was accident free in my 1998 Isuzu and 2004 Honda Element...

Doesn't look too bad. Hopefully this should be an easy repair. Glad you're not hurt.

Guys, and all happened after I decided to go not-the-normal-way home and check my tire pressure as directed by the computer... I'm mad, $1,000 deductible (I hope to negotiate with the local body shop though)

Ouchhh, that hurt.
Seems like more than $ 1000.00 in damaged.

I found a used OEM headlight on eBay
that's my headlight right? It's only $300+s/h instead of a new one $1,000+, worth taking?

I shop and buy on ebay all the time with tremendous success. rarely, but it does happen when i buy something that isn't what it should be. The biggest concern is the condition of the mounting points on this extracted part. I wouldn't be afraid to ask seller the condition of the mounting points. if not damaged, this should be a good deal for you.

You might want to ask the seller for the VIN of the car that the headlight came out of. Remember that some models have swiveling headlights and some don't. Not sure if the lenses are different but I'm guessing they are.

Headlights are expensive but buying one on eBay could be risky (condensation, seals, projector lightbulb, etc.).

Buyer beware.

(I paid $995 for a new headlight on my RL, btw. My GT-R's headlight is *double* that price - and it doesn't rotate nor does it have an integrated foglamp)
