I finally took the time to look through the owners manual to figure out more stuff about the car and I was trying to find the owners manual storage location.

What I found was this:


It seems to be missing and there is a rectangular sized hole behind it. I would guess this is where the cabin filter goes - though there is not one in there at present.

I would certainly replace it if that is where it goes - sadly it looks like there are pieces missing. But maybe I am wrong about the cabin filter location - though thats where it is on most of my other cars.

Any advice on this?

It looks as if you are definitely missing the filter (no. 7), of course, but also the filter frame (No. 6)
