Glove box
I scraped off the upper half of the glovebox coating (which was as messy as it sounds) and did an amateur job of recovering the top half with a large scrap of vynil I cut from a couch my neighbor had thrown out. It was black and just happened to match the sheen and grain of the dashboard. Looked pretty good compared to what was there but then I got lucky on a junkyard run and found one that had been professionally redone by a shop. The area around the lock is the main snag since it’s a recess.

As my brother said when I showed him some of these lunar-surface glovebox door photos: "A really weird place for them to cheap out." I'm drowning mine in 303 Protectant (a UV blocker) as preventive medicine.
