Full Maintenance Program
Full Maintenance Program
I know BMW still offers 4 years/50k full maintenance program and I think Audi still offers this. Do you think Acura should include this on their vehicles? Let's make the assumption (for the sake of argument) that they would increase MSRP by $800 on all the vehicles.
I was discussing this with an ACS rep a while ago for the TL, and I just remembered so I would like to know what you have to say about it. When we were discussing this (and another idea, which I will have another poll about in a moment) he mentioned that it was something that had been discussed and the $800 was a figure he threw at me.

I paid $450 for full maintenance over the warranty period. That was about the limit of what I'd be willing to pay. This car needs very little maintenance. Oil changes are pretty cheap, fluids can be topped of by anyone who's willing. I liked the peace of mind so I got it.
I did the same thing with my last car (non acura), $411 for free dealer maintenance - but yes, had to be at that dealer. Given the fact that what's included in BMW's "free" maintenance is actually not a whole lot, you end up paying some money for the scheduled services anyway. I think something like this, covering what BMW's covers (which is mostly just oil, in my experience), would be worth about $500-$600. I am sure if it was built into the cars msrp at $800 I would pay it, though.
I wouldn't have done it if it was only *that* dealer. I can use any Auto Nation dealer in the country. Doesn't even have to be Acura but in that case I need to give them some time to get the parts. Since we'll be moving cross country next year I needed that little provision or it would have been a non-starter :-)

Well, BMWs full maint. program covers an oil/filter change+inspection at 15K, and a air filter, cabin air filter, and oil/filter change at 30K, and another oil/filter change+inspection at 45K.
ATF, and Diff. Fluids are considered lifetime. I THINK they still give out coolant flushes every 4 years and Brake Fluid flushes every 2 years.
