Hello guys i just notice today that the top door that closes flush over the cup holders has suddenly become stiff...almost like something if not allowing it to close freely. It was working fine the day before...it's very stiff to close and retracts slowly to open and close. Any ideas?

 

My first guess would be something spilled, like soda, and it is causing the issue. It also could be the mechanism itself is failing but that is unlikely unless it was forced in the wrong direction or something. I would start with taking it apart and cleaning it. My guess is there is a buildup of sticky stuff on the gears that make is move. Just a guess of course.

 

Mine is doing the same thing, I haven't had time to pull it apart and check out why but my guess was the same as Beekermartin, most likely something sticky.
