Finally Sent Outbound Message to Acuralink Server!
Well, after much fiddling, I managed to get my RL to send an outbound message from the car through my Ericsson T637 to the Acuralink server. I have no idea what was sent (probably my SSN, birthdate, blood type, credit card numbers-hopefully NOT!), but this was the last functional item I had on my do list. Now if I can only do the same with my treo 650-I tried using the same setup string, but to no avail. Here is the setup I used for the T637:
dial string: *99# wap.cingular
user name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
password: CINGULAR1
I had tried the same entries last night, but I discovered this evening that my T637 was not properly set up to use MediaNet (Cingular's wireless internet data service, formerly called Wireless Internet Express), which is required for the RL to be able to send data to the Acura server. I have seen many threads on this topic, so I hope my experience helps others in the same predicament. Good luck!

Acurafox that is great news. I had given up trying to get the communication link to Acuralink working through my Treo 650. Keep at it and if you are able to get the Treo to work I know you will have many friends! I will definitely appreciate your efforts.
Acurafox, are you a Cingular blue (ATT) or Orange? I am a Blue account. I wonder if that makes a difference in the set up.
BTW, the 637 is a supported phone per the Hands Free Link phone list. The 650 is not, nor is my SMT5600. I don't think a non-supported phone will work in any event due to software incompatibility.

I believe there are some differences between Cingular orange and blue (mMode vs MediaNet). There are "easy" setups in the RL for each one, but I don't know if the canned setup for Cingular blue (ie, mMode) works or not because I have no way to test it.
Just to reiterate, my Treo 650 works fine for incoming and outgoing calls, but not for the outbound data connect to the Acuralink server. The T637 works fine for all services, which is expected since it is on the approved list.
