I am considering buying an Acuracare warranty for my RL (mainly because of all the techno geegaws on it), but I can't decide which term to buy. I don't put a ton of miles on my cars (10k/year on average), so I am looking at the 8 year/100k mile option, which is $1335 at honda. In general, I am not too keen on extended warranties, but after getting a new tranny and front wheel bearings on my Odyssey, which were covered by the extended warranty I got, I am rethinking this. I tend to keep my cars for a long time (10 years or more), so the longer term is attrative to me since the likelihood of problems is greater in the out years. Any thoughts or comments?

 

I bought the 6 year 100k for $1030. I think its a good value if you keep the car long - esp with all the tech toys in the RL.

Did you check the price of the 8yr 100k at www.curryacuracare.com ?

 

I just checked-even with their promotional discount (currently $90), Curry is $100 more than Ray Laks for the one I am looking at ($1335 vs $1440).

 

Is Ray Laks' available for purchasing online?

FYI, it appears that there is a $300-$400 delta for the warranty, and the 8 year terms are not available for an odometer of more than 6k miles.
