Extended warranties Acura one or not?

I need to decide really fast to get a refund. I am buying a 2005 RL with 66K miles. I got from my lender the middle grade warrany that covers things like seat and window and sunroof motors, but not all the fancy doo dads. Does the Acura extended warranty cover that stuff? Can I buy it separately for about $1000? I have 15 days to get a full refund for my warranty. It's a fine warranty, I got the same one when I bought my Pilot and they paid a claim even when the mechanic failed to call for pre-authorization, I just want to know if there's something better.

Should you have an extrended warranty? yes.
But keep in mind that all warranties are through a third party, even at the dealerships.

So just make sure you shop around and choose a company that will cover fluids, loner cars, AND new parts... most of these places use re-manufactured or salvage parts.

I was happy with the warranty I had from this company in the past. They paid for new parts, OEM or those recommended by my Honda mechanic. I really should not have bought a "flagship" of any marque, but I have been denying myself a nice car for many years now, and I bought way below my budget, but that does not mean I want to fill up to my budget in repairs. I just try to live below my means. That's why I can survive (quite well, actually) working part time half the year.

I don't know about your finances... yes, keep a warranty.

I agree you should keep the warranty - you never know and it is always good to pay (not overpay) a piece of mind.

On another note Acura extended warranty is the best choice to go with BUT they will likely not sell you warranty due to higher mileage you have on your car and then not sure if you got the car on Acura dealership or not.

I got mine on Honda dealer and Acura ext. warranty was not offered however I ended up getting GE 4-star plus warranty that covers pretty much everything other than body and I am happy with it. Once I reach 110k until the warranty lasts we will see what happens then

You can't get Acura's extended warranty because you are over by both mileage and years. You have to be within the OEM warranty period to get an OEM extended warranty.

On this car, you need an extended warranty because of the electronics on this car. Keep what you've got as long as you make sure it covers the electronics.

I have an 08 RL with 42+K miles and the original warrantee expired in May of 2011. I did not buy my vehicle at a Honda/Acura dealer but at a mid level dealer. Would I be able to get the Acura care extended warranty still or do I have to purchase from a third party?
