I had one in my '95 Legend, but I was hard-pressed to discern any difference in the car's performance. On the plus side, I never did have to change the air filter (though cleaning it did make me a little nervous).

With the K and N filters, the problem arises in cleaning the filter and re-oiling it, people use too much oil and that can cause damage to the engine long term. As well, it has been reported that after-market filters don't provide as good filtration of air. If you have the money, buy a AEM cold air intake for the RL, more power and really good filtration, as well you get that awesome roar.

They are not worth it, they do not filter as well and you may pick up maybe 2 hp.
The problem will show up later on in engine longivity.
