Drivers window will not go down

I have a 2007 RL. The drivers window will not go down. When I first got the car it was intermittent and would reverse when lowering often. The rest of the windows work perfectly from all switches. I checked the fuse in the drivers side fuse panel and it was good. I changed to a used switch set in the door panel. I can not do the window reset thing because the window will not go down.

Any ideas?

I just read about lowering all the windows from the remote. I did this and the drivers window did not open when all the others did. That was pretty cool though. I am now leaning toward the regulator.

My old TL did this on the passenger side.

A relative had an ES300 that also did this, but intermittently at different windows.

Check to see if the switch and regulator are getting power first

I've got the same intermittent problem. Dealer troubleshot it a couple of years ago. They were just about to remove/replace the window motor and then the window started working again.

It was fine for a while, but now it will not go down.

By chance, did you have any success in solving your issue?

I'd check the connections and moreover clean/lube all the window guides/actuators.

If the window was initially reversing, it sounds like it thinks it was jammed (child safety feature) and going into reverse. It may eventually damage the gears in the motor unit.
