When I bought the car, about a year ago, I thought it was so cool that when I placed my hand in the handle it would unlock. But, sadly it stopped working so I use the key fob, not really a big deal but anyone know how to fix this or do I buy a new door handle? If I have to get a new door handle I'll stick with the key fob, dealer said around $500 for a new handle. No thanks.

you can DIY the door handle at home, its just take a good amount of time.

 

any suggestions on how I would even begin to search that? I've got more time than money

 

search on AZ for 05-08 RL service manual, its should have a section on "door handle removal". Its tedious because not everything in side the door is exposed, most of time you work by feeling, I learn this the hard way with my old Legend window motor replacement.
