mine usually doesn't work when its raining outside. At least the driver side doesn't, my passenger side seems to work fine no matter what and it sucks cause i have to fiddle around wit my pocket to find the key to lock the door.

Ours does not work either after a laser car wash. It will work again usually the next day. Not a big issue for me. I have also noticed the outside temperature probe stops working as well. Once everything is dry, normalcy returns.

Mine is the opposite. It's the passenger side that acts up. They already replaced it once. It usually clears up after a day.

I'll probably wait to see if it gets worse, and then get it replaced.

My driverside went out, dealer replaced the handle. Seems to be a common issue.

There are multiple threads on this very well-known issue on the RL, which can be found by searching. Various solutions are advocated.

Both my driver's side and passenger's side handles had to be replaced. They failed after a car wash.
