door locking dimple not working

Today I noticed that the door dimple on the passenger door does not lock. Has someone had this problem and what was the fix?

I had an intermittent problem with the drivers door. They replaced the handle and it has worked flawlessly since.

My 2006 door dimples on both the Driver and Passenger doors would refuse to work anytime they had been wet a few hours beforehand. I had the driver's handle replaced, which fixed the problem, however, the shop evidently removed the door glass in order to replace the window. They had to take the car back a 2nd time to fix the alignment and trim around the window, and I then had to have my window re-tinted do to the scratches received when the window was removed during the install. Since the driver's door now works flawlessly and the experience received above, I did not have the passenger's door handle replaced.

Just a head's up!

According to Websters, a dimple is a "small...hollow area or crease..."

Since these are raised spots on the door handles wouldn't they be "Nipples?"

Ok, I was just using the terminology of the salesman.

Now I will never be able to lock the doors again without thinking about it. I don't know whether I can't wait to grab the nipple, or stay away from the pimple.

If it is indeed a "pimple," I wouldn't push it too hard.

Thanks for the heads up. It started working today morning. I had washed the car and it did not work for 1 day. Hope it will not be an intermittent problem.
