Has anybody else had problems with the 2G RL door lock actuators? My car has just under 100k miles on it and I had to replace the driver’s door one about 4 months ago. Now just this week the left rear lock actuator quit locking but will still unlock... Out of my last 3 Hondas I only replaced 1 actuator and that was at 160k miles in a 01 Civic. I know this type of failure is common on the TSX but did not see anything on the RL so I figured I would ask.

 

In my expeirince its luck of the draw my 98 civic never had any probs and my 2000 civic had them go out about a year after the purchase date none of my accords ever had a problem but my friends accord did so It just may be you got some from a bad batch ... just my

 

The bad thing is that the actuators for this car are so dang expensive even from honda parts unlimited. The front ones are $135 and the rears are $115... The same part on a TL is only $35

I guess its time to cut my hands up on the inside of a door again.

 

Yeah too bad its not under warranty... your local dealer didnt offer you an extended warranty when yours was about to expire?

 

my 05 with 84k is making a sporadic weird noise on the drivers side, I'm going to have them check it and see if its covered under my extended.
