Door Handle Lights and Key Fob Recognition

Until recently, my 2006 used to have the handle doors light up when I got close to the car and would unlock when my hand was in the sensor area of the driver's or passenger's door or lock if my finger went over the dimple (if I had the key fob with me), but not any longer.

Both key fobs can still lock/unlock the door and when I do that the handle lights come on, but the car isn't responding to the proximity...any ideas what it could be? I'm going to replace the batteries in the fobs, but I know they aren't that old.

I replaced the batteries in both fobs, but still getting an issue. Once in a while (rarely), it works, but generally not working now no matter which side of the car I'm standing by...any ideas?
