Unlocking the TL with the key
Unlocking the TL with the key
I noticed that when I use the key to open the door on the drivers side only that door is unlocked but when I do it to the pass side all of the doors unlock, is this normal operation?
Thanks

Yes that's normal, AND if you hold the key in the driver's door in the unlock position (turned to the right) it will unlock all 4 doors. It takes a few seconds for it to do it.

I once locked myself out of my car in an inconvenient place and have a hide-a-key hidden now. You won't ever find it and the best part is that Home Depot cut it. It won't start the car because there is no "chip" in it and that's a cool feature. I won't get locked out and the really well hidden key will only let me in. When you brought up keys, I thought of this even though iuts off subject. We have an 06 TL and it has no key hole on the passenger side nor Onstar for that matter.
my buddies audi has a cool feature. when you hold the key in the lock or unlock positioin the window either go up or down (respectively). i don't believe our cars have a similar feature... right? if not, that's 2 bad, b/c that a really cool feature.

Its nice to have auto-up cause you don't have to worry about rolling the windows up after you turn off the car. Just get out and hit the lock button, and up go the windows.... weeeeeee

oh, now that's funny! The dealer replaced both my actuators because I complained that my driver's side didn't unlock all the doors and my passenger side woudl RE-Lock the doors. I had to be real quick and pull the door open before it locked again. Now, the passenger was bad but sounds like the driver's was fine. In fact, when I got it back and it still didn't unlock the rest of the doors from the drivers key (because I didn't read the f-ing manual), I didnt bother to mention it to the service dudes. It was only important that the passenger side was fixed...
